Latest Scams

It's important you make yourself aware of the various ways people are trying to trick you into disclosing your personal information. Latest scams have included hoax emails, SMS and phone calls purporting to be from a financial institution and asking for the receiver to confirm their personal account details.

If you receive communication which you think is suspicious, ask yourself these questions:

  • Does it instruct you to click on a link?
  • Does it ask for account information?
  • Is the communication unexpected or is the tone impersonal?

If you answer yes to any of these questions the communication may be a scam. Contact us immediately on 1300 65 65 81 if you have any doubts.

A sample of a hoax email received by some of our members is included below. Check for the impersonal nature of the email, the spelling and grammatical mistakes. These errors can often point to a scam email.

We will NEVER ask you to provide account information or passwords in this manner.
