With Northern Inland Credit Union's Mobile Banking app - smartPAY you can now bank and shop on the go!

Our smartPAY app allows you to:

  • Check your balance
  • Transfer funds to other Northern Inland Members
  • Transfer funds to external bank accounts through Pay Anyone
  • Make BPay payments
  • Load new payees
  • Change your PIN
  • Block/ Unblock your Card
  • Report a lost or stolen card
  • Find your nearest rediATM or Branch
  • Notify us if you are travelling overseas

Android iconTap & Pay - bonus contactless system for Android phones

Android phone users have the added benefit of using your phone to tap & pay for in-store purchases less than $100, to the maximum daily limit of $250, wherever Visa is accepted.

It’s just like using Visa payWave, but you don’t need your card. All you need is an NFC-enabled Android phone running KitKat 4.4 or later, then simply turn on the feature via the 'smartPAY' icon when using the App, load the card details and your ready to go.

Easy to use, safe and secure

All confidential information is encrypted and stored securely. Your available balance can be easily seen via quick view without you having to log in to the app, while payment functions and transaction details are protected by your passcode. Tap & Pay transactions are protected by our comprehensive fraud management service. This includes 24/7 transaction monitoring, so you can rest assured that you’re protected against any unauthorised transactions.

NICU cards Register your Membership Details

When you download the app to your phone you will be asked to enter your Online Banking login details. As part of the registration process, you'll be asked to select a 4 digit passcode - you will use this passcode when you each time you use the app.

For security, we ask that you choose a passcode that's different to your PIN. And like your PIN, you should keep your passcode confidential.

NICU cardsAndroid Users - Register your Northern Inland Visa Cards for Tap & Pay feature - smartPAY

Once you’ve downloaded and registered the app to your phone, you need to register your preferred Northern Inland Visa Credit OR Debit card.
You can do this by looking for the smartPAY icon and entering your:
•card number
•expiry date
•CVV2 (the three digit security number on the back of your card)

NICU security Create a Northern Inland smartPAY passcode

Once you’ve registered the cards, you’ll be asked to create a passcode specifically for when you Tap & Pay. You’ll need this passcode to turn the app on and off to make a contactless payment at an EFTPOS terminal.

For your security, we recommend that you choose a passcode that’s different to your PIN. And like your PIN, you should keep your passcode confidential.

Then you’re ready to Tap & Pay wherever Visa payWave is accepted.
