Our history: Northern Inland today is the result of the amalgamation of Namoi Credit Union Limited, Oxley Mutual Credit Union Limited and Tamworth & District Community Credit Union Limited in 1988. We are a growing financial institution, providing an innovative range of banking services to people across the northwest. Current Members number over 23,000. Asset under management as at 30 June 2010 were $190 million.

Our structure: Northern Inland is a company with a Board of Directors drawn from our local community. Head office and administration is attached to the Peel Street branch in Tamworth. Northern Inland employs approximately 60 part-time and fulltime staff. Northern Inland is an Approved Deposit Taking Institution and as such, is governed by both the Australian Investments and Securities Commission (ASIC) and the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).
Our products and services: Under our Australian Financial Services Licence Northern Inland is authorised to issue and advise on basic deposit products and non-cash payment facilities, and as an agent, offer and advise on general insurance products. We also offer a range of credit facilities.
Basic Deposit products: Northern Inland offers a range of accounts designed to meet specific needs:
• Primary savings accounts offering a variety of electronic and non electronic access methods
• Deeming account
• Interest bearing funds at-call accounts
• Farm Management Deposit account

General insurance: Northern Inland acts as agent for CUNA Mutual Insurance, providing home, contents, motor vehicle and consumer credit insurance products.
Credit Products: Northern Inland offers a range of variable interest loan and overdraft products, and branded VISA credit and debit cards.
